12108853_867364603382440_15312240770211839_n Heather has been working in Greenwich real estate since 1983. Her real estate experience started with writing ad copy for a multi-office local firm. She then obtained her real estate license and has been selling ever since. In a short time she worked for large chains, regional firms and a small office of twelve agents. After taking the extensive required courses, she also got her Connecticut real estate broker’s license.

Heather grew up in Lloyd Harbor, New York, on Long Island’s North Shore. She attended the Eastwoods School there and the Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, and has a degree in studio art from Connecticut College. Her work experience has been largely entrepreneurial. She has run several businesses, worked in the stock market and worked for graphics agencies and design firms. Real estate utilizes all of her talents.

Heather and her husband, Tom Gorin, joined the Greenwich office of Sotheby’s International Realty in December 2011. Prior to their move, Heather and Tom owned the venerable Greenwich independent firm Cleveland, Duble & Arnold Corp, founded in 1909. Tom had managed the company for 37 years. Sotheby’s International Realty acquired the firm for its high sales volume and experienced agents, and because of its reputation as a strong local office with an appreciation for this unique town and its history.

The power of the corporate brand, combined with the energy of a dynamic, local office at Sotheby’s International Realty, has been extremely positive for Heather. Always one of the top salespeople in Greenwich, with sales volume typically increasing each year, she now she spends more time with her clients and less on management. This has been a positive and welcome change for her.

Heather lists and sells properties in all price ranges, in all parts of town, and in a normal year will complete anywhere from 20 to 30 transactions. She works on all her listings with a carefully selected team of one or two additional brokers, ensuring that her clients get the proper attention they need at all times.

Heather has found that part of the real estate business is that no day is ever the same. She especially likes meeting people who are new to Greenwich and need to be educated about the tremendous attributes the town has to offer. Having been a newcomer almost 30 years ago, she never tires of sharing how easy it is to move here and become a part of a great community.
